The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Darleen Bonislawski can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Darleen

I met Darleen when we both began our criminal defense careers with Middlesex Defense Attorneys. We had so much in common that I couldn't believe that we had not met earlier. We shared a love of our beloved neighborhoods, hers East Cambridge, mine Area 4, CHLS, loving happy immigrant families, a commitment to social justice and a love of politics. I even found out that I had gone to school with some of her in-laws, whom she cherished. Every time we got a chance to talk it was like a reunion. As an attorney, I was always stuck by her zealous advocacy on behalf of her clients. She especially loved the juveniles she represented. She was a kind and compassionate person. She was always a joy to be around and will be sorely missed. I'm honored to have known her and count her as a friend. Helen
