I have just read about the passing of John Douglas. We met through Oldtimers Hockey (BOHC)several years ago. He was responsible for encouraging me to become a Board member. As a player, John was both a valued teammate and a worthy competitor. After a game, he could usually be found at the BOHC lounge having a "debriefing" beverage with his close friend Woody, the late Bob Wood. He and I were also part of a foursome at BOHC's annual golf tournament-not winning, but having a great time. Unbeknownst to many, John also bowled, as we participated in Kelsey's "Bowl for Kids Sake"; Todd also bowled with for for a couple of years. Regrettably, John and I lost contact when he left the hockey community. John will be remembered for his competitive spirit, quiet, but wicked, humour and his giving nature. I miss spending time with him over the past few years.
