Newmaster, Doug:
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved "Bappa" Doug Newmaster on Feb 25, 2018 at Winston Park Retirement Home at the age of 78.
Beloved husband of the late Shirley Newmaster (2008) and dearest dad to Terryl (Frank) Niereisel and Cindy (Harry) Kliewer. Bappa will be missed and forever remembered by his four grandchildren, Cory, Brad (Krista), Mark and Kim (Jordan) and his most precious great Grandsons, Evan, Jaxon, Keaton and James. Also survived by his brothers Laverne (Carol) and Ron (Merle) Newmaster and step brothers Jim and Ken Baker and step sister Elaine Oehm.
Doug was a dedicated employee of BFGoodrich, Epton Industries and Polycon Industries before retiring in 2004.
A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Winston Park for their compassionate care of Doug over the past few years.
Doug's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 where a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation with interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
