Fanjoy, Ruth Irene (nee Leeman):
Passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Care Centre surrounded by the love of family at the age of 94 on January 4, 2018. Cherished wife of the late William David Fanjoy (1991). Loving mother of Ruth (Denis (2015)) Albisser, William Naylor (2007) (Donna) Fanjoy, Emilee (Fred) Fanjoy, Sara (Joe) Archambault, Anna (Tony) Fanjoy, Mary-Ellen (Peter) Winkler. Grandmother to Michael (1981), Adam, David, Eric Fanjoy, Belinda Fanjoy, Mark & Heather Winkler. Great grandmother to Sophie & Cooper Fanjoy. Ruth was born and raised on a Silver Fox ranch in Salisbury, New Brunswick. She graduated from Acadia University in 1945 to pursue a career as a dietitian and teacher. She was married in 1949. Her happiest moments were when she was outside, swimming, camping, bird watching and raising butterflies. Her warmth and her bright smile will be forever missed. Special thanks to the staff of Cherry Orchard for their compassion & caring. “The Woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.” Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home. 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Private Cremation has taken place.
