Dad, Aunt June, Uncle Earle, Aunt Dorothy, Aunt Gertrude, Aunt Evelyn, Mom. My sweet Aunt June was the last of this bunch, died last week. Been thinking about her a lot -- what she gave so freely, especially in the latter days, was complete acceptance. She always listened closely and thoughtfully to me and all her nieces and nephews. I do not remember a single argument. She did not like it when I drank, which was appropriate, and she was very happy about me putting the plug in the jug. Always erudite, supportive, interested and interesting, equally at ease in the wider world or with her family, at ease with the brilliant and bookish, or with the babies, both received a full measure of her attentive joy. There will never be another June.
