Obituary for Ethan Allen Walls

Ethan Allen Walls
Ethan Allen Walls known as “E,” transitioned this life to his eternal home on October 22, 2016. He was baptized and made his confession to Christ receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost at Summer Camp in Zanesville, OH at an early age under the pastorship of Elder Ernest Cross. Ethan Walls was born in Columbus, OH, on July 20, 1961 and was the middle child of his parents, Melvin and Blandine Walls. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Walls, and son, Latywan Harris. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Armed Forces receiving an honorable discharge in 1982. Ethan attended Stautzenberger College earning an associate degree in Accounting, directed Good News’ Summer Feeding Program for neighboring children and worked several positions at various companies.

Ethan was the loving father of four children, was an avid fisherman with a great sense of humor and was called his mother’s, “Lord have mercy” child. When visiting him in the hospital or otherwise, he would keep you laughing telling funny stories of his treatment experiences. He truly believed God had the last say concerning his life and healing and often would tell his doctors just that! During his last stay he called the church while in intensive care and gave a message to the congregation that, “All is well!” He had a special love for dogs and music. Ethan demonstrated great grace and courage under pressure - he fought a good fight and finished his course.

Ethan Walls leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Pastor Dr. Blandine Walls; children, Sheniqua Reynolds, Ethan Jr. and Jawonna Walls; brother, Melvin Walls; sister, Dr. Pamela Rogers; grandchildren, Amya and Samaria; niece, LaTresse (Shinar) Walton; nephews, Calvin Rogers,Jr. and Kevin Truss; special friends, Helen Hicks, Dorothy Robinson and Debbie Harris,
as well as a host of family and friends.
