The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Margaret Tocher can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Celia Houtman
Condolence: Mum's death is a huge loss to us all, family and friends -- and even to people she never met but who benefitted by her goodness, like by her knitting baby blankets and bringing them to the hospital to be given to the new mothers. Mum did that for years, just anonymously, and would very happily see the blankets keeping babies cozy in strollers around town now and then. There are too many ways to list how I appreciated her. It's just great to see how she was appreciated by others as well.

Condolence: Mrs. Margaret Tocher was truly one of the great inspirations in my life. She taught me that there were no boundaries when it came to reading, and learning. She taught me to always improve myself, yet always be happy with who you are. It was my 3rd grade year at Breadner (89-90), where I was first introduced to this lovely lady, and I have spoken highly of her ever since that year.

My condolences to her family, and to all that have loved and cherished their time with this amazing woman.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Margaret's death. We had a wonderful relationship at Queen Victoria when I was Secretary there. She was always so positive, so fun loving, so praising, so full of life that kids always felt she cared for each one of them.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs Tocher was a wonderful person. She taught my son at Prince Charles School in Trenton. She loved her kids. I remember Mr Tocher came in to the class and taught the kids to sing Auld Lang Syne and the kids took on his Scottish accent. That was such a great memory for me and the kids.
