Dear Emily’s family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Emily was a wonderful person and caring friend, and I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of her passing. I am so glad I got to see Emily at the Brandeis reunion.
In remembrance of her great sense of humor, I thought I’d share a math joke she told me: What’s the difference between a mosquito and a rock climber? One’s a vector and the other’s a scalar.
