Born in Valpovo, Croatia on September 30, 1926, Joseph passed away peacefully at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday October 11, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Anna (2016). Loving father of Edwin (Waldtraut), Ralph (Judy), Gary (Pranee) and Andre (Lynn). Proud Opa of Michelle (Matt), Devin (Natalie), Charmayne, Selena (Bill), Stephanie (Harrison), Lisa, Karl, Dana and great grandfather of Brianne, Blake and Fitz Anna. Dear brother of Rose Ill and the late Tony and Franz Schaffner. Longtime member of the Concordia Club, coach with Kitchener Soccer and executive with Southwest Regional Soccer. Joseph's family will receive relatives and friends from 10-10:45 a.m. on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, (519)749-8467. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
