Obituary for Rosetta Fant

Rosetta Fant, "Big Ma", was born on July 6, 1918, in Camden, Arkansas, to Sam and Eula Lockhart. As a young lady, Rosetta and her family, moved to Toledo, Ohio, to pursue a better life up North. As a young adult, she worked as a Caretaker and worked different areas in her career. Rosetta was a christian woman that loved the Lord, her family, and her church, Friendship Baptist Church and her Pastor, Bishop Duane C. Tisdale. She was one of the oldest Mother's of the church. Rosetta had a passion for cooking, she loved to bake, shop, and she loved family gatherings. Rosetta touched many lives with her kind spirit. She had a wonderful heart and a smile that could brighten up a room. She loved everyone and everyone loved "Big Ma", her powerful wisdom and knowledge. Rosetta's favorite saying was, "It only gets better with time", because she lived her life as though it was golden. Rosetta was preceded in death by her daughters, Willa Harris and Betty Wallace, and son-in-law, Oliver Wallace. Rosetta's memory live on through her loving grandchildren, Keith (Leslie) Green, Regina Green, Kim Wallace, Tonya (Theodore) Kendricks, Del Rico Wallace; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 12:00 noon, preceded by a 11:00 am Wake, at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, Bishop Duane C. Tisdale, officiating.
