Waymon G. Harrison
December 23, 1935 ~ January 25, 2016
Waymon G. Harrison went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2016 with family and friends by his side, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was 80 years old. The son of J.C. and Vernal (Seat) Harrison, Waymon was born December 23, 1935 in the family home near Gracemont, Oklahoma. In 1953, Waymon graduated from Gracemont High School. He was a printer and lithographer for Times Journal for 38 years. He enjoyed coaching softball in the Moore area for 20 years and touched the lives of many youth. He loved watching his grandchildren grow and going to their activities. He was a longtime member and servant of the Lord at Emmaus Baptist Church. Waymon was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather and loyal friend, who will be deeply missed by all.
Waymon was preceded in death by his:
Son, Roger Leon Harrison;
Daughter, Gayle Jean;
Parents, JC and Vernal Harrison;
Sister, Wilda Jean.
Waymon is survived by his loving:
Wife, Regena Harrison;
Daughter, Sharon Copeland and her husband, Greg;
Son, Waymon D. Harrison and his wife, Jackie;
Granddaughter, Stevie Rae Armstrong;
Granddaughter, Kennedy Jean Harrison;
Grandson, Grant Harrison;
Brother, Leon Harrison;
Sister, Opal Blakely;
Many other loving family and friends.
