Condolences

Condolence From: Amy Gehrke
Condolence: The loss of a father/grandpa/husband is felt deeply. The family of Joan Henderson would like to express our sadness for your loss. We would like you to find comfort in the memories he built with you. He will always be deeply missed but we hope you realize that he has left a little bit of himself in all of you. He will live on through you. Smile each time you notice a dad/grandpa/husband moment. Our family compiled a list of all these moments. It was a healthy experience. We laughed and cried and kept the memories alive. We wish you peace at this difficult time.

Condolence From: Kurt Schroeder
Condolence: I will refer to Dick here as "coach" in honor of my late brother Chris who was a great coach also. Chris often said how coach was a man of complete class and how he wanted to be like him! I know coach didn't like me much when I was young and rightfully so but that did not stop him from even treating me with class. After I scored 28pts against the faculty in high school he yelled out to me in the hall the next day..."hey little Shrades, great game"! Shrades was my brothers nickname. Then late in life my brother and myself would see coach often at Hawthorne Hills. It was then that I realized what a truly very nice man he was... R.I.P. coach!!

Condolence From: David MacGregor
Condolence: Dick was a friend through our mutual love of table tennis competition. He was a great national champion, a wonderful competitor who hated to lose a point but was always polite in winning or losing. He will be remembered as a model for true sportsmanship.
