Kindness, perseverance and courage
Just an all-around wonderful person, the thing about Mrs. MacDonough that always stood out to me was how she truly cared about how you were doing. There was simply nothing superficial about it- her interest in other people's lives was as genuine as it gets. It was a difficult 4 1/2 years, but she displayed remarkable grace in confronting her illness head-on. By never feeling sorry for herself and continuing to push forward, she leaves a powerful, enduring legacy to everyone that knew her.
