Obituary for Stan Snider

Stan died peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Sunday June 3, 2001 at the age of 73.
Beloved husband of 49 years to Hilda (nee Ristau). Dear father of Murray & his wife Jane of Waterloo and Dave & his wife Tammie Kocher of Kitchener. Loving grandpa to Cindy & Natalie. Son in law of Hazel Ristau of Kitchener. Brother of John Schnider, Lillian & Orley Neeb, Catherine Ellis and brother in law of Elaine Schneider, Ruth Schnider, and Marjorie Schneider.
Predeceased by his parents, John & Clara Schnider, brothers, Carl, Milton, Clarence and in infancy, Robert & Arthur, his brother in law, Tom Ellis, sister in law, June Schnider, and his father in law Charles Ristau.

Stan worked at the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Water Supply for 41 years. He was actively involved and a long time member of Benton Street Baptist Church, where he sat on the 1964 Building Committee, he was the Chairman of the Trustee committee, involved in the childrens groups and was a faithful usher for 49 years.
The Schnider family will receive friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home 507 Frederick St. Kitchener ( 749-8467) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. At 12 noon on Wednesday June 6, 2001 transfer will be made to Benton Street Baptist Church, 90 Benton St. Kitchener, for the Funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment St. James Cemetery, Elmira.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the K-W Regional Cancer Centre, Heart And Stroke Foundation or the Benton Street Baptist Mission Matanqwe Project would be appreciated by the family. ( Cards available at the Funeral Home.
