Obituary for Gloria Jean Bartnik

GLORIA JEAN BARTNIK

66, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in her home. She was born April 6, 1954 in Cass City to Henry and Helen (Barszcz) Bartnik.

Gloria graduated from Cass City High School in 1972 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business at Lake Superior State College. She was employed as a secretary at the Saginaw County Courthouse and St. Mary Hospital until retirement. Gloria then went to work for her family business, Bartnik Service. She loved her family very much and was the glue of the family. A caring and giving woman, Gloria would do anything for anyone. She was a fine cook and always hosted the family parties. Gloria enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to travel, especially trips to the casino with her sister, sharing many laughs. Gloria was an active member of Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Cass City serving as a Eucharist, greeter, and cooking for funeral luncheons.

Gloria is survived by her father, Henry Bartnik of Cass City; sister, Chris (Greg) Lobdell of Birmingham, AL; brothers: Dave (Shelly) Bartnik of Deford, Gerald Bartnik (Lisa Britt) of Cass City; nieces and nephews: Chad (Kelly) Lobdell, Trevor (Tiffany) Lobdell, Justin (Emily) Lobdell, Matthew (Jessica) Bartnik, Mandi (Austin) Osentoski, Rachel Bartnik, special friend Channing Langenburg, Lauren Bartnik, Jenna Bartnik, Joslyn Bartnik. She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen; many aunts and uncles.

Funeral Mass held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City with Rev. Theo Nnabugo officiating. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com. . Social distancing and limitations on numbers gathered in the church will be observed. Attendees are also kindly reminded to wear a facial covering.
