Darrell Allen Cromwell, 72, of Fort Smith passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 in a local hospital. He was a box maker for Inland Container of Fort Smith, an Army veteran and enjoyed playing golf. Darrell was born July 14, 1948 in Fort Smith to the late Harold Dean and Marjorie (Chitwood) Cromwell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Delta Cromwell; brother, Ernest Cromwell and grandparents, Carl and Evva Chitwood.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 30, 2021 at U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Survivors include his wife, Ara (Burks) Cromwell of the home; daughter, Kirsten Patterson and husband Jon of Fayetteville; son, Jacob D. Cromwell and wife Breann of Springdale; three sisters, Deon Picanso of Sterling, VA, Elizabeth Foster Woods and Rebecca Foster Wear both of Fort Smith; brother, Paul Dwain Cromwell of Fayetteville; uncles, Kenneth Chitwood of Van Buren and Dennis Chitwood of Fort Smith; ten grandchildren in birth order, Elijah, Ana, Ezra, Zoe, Emma Claire, Kathryn, Molly Ellen, Samuel, Clayton and Paisley and his loyal dog, Luke.
