Obituary for Cletis Raymond Odle

Cletis Raymond Odle, 94 of Van Buren passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in a local nursing home. He was a retired truck driver for Arkhola Sand and Gravel. He was a U.S. Army Veteran servicing in Germany and the Philippines; owner/operator of Odle Grocery in Westville, Oklahoma with his father; he played the piano, sang and taught Bible Studies at local nursing homes and was a super church bus driver. He was a member of the Van Buren First Assembly of God Church where he was an usher for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tressie (Cope) Odle; both parents, Isaac Dudley and Bertha (Brown) Odle; sisters Cherrie Wilson, Rena Johnson, Jane Brazil, Evelyn Smith and Roberta Garrett; brothers Randolph and Leeman Odle.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.

He is survived by two daughters, Cletha Johnson and husband, Jake of Van Buren, Becky Kerley and husband, Rick of Centerton, Arkansas; three sons, James Odle and wife Brenda of Van Buren, Donald Odle and wife Joyce of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Larry Odle and wife Elaine of Fayetteville; one sister, Maxine Hartley of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren Chris, Brandon, Matthew, Gregory and Brent Odle, Kelly Holohan, Dallas, Tyler and Dakota Kerley; thirteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Friends can view him from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
