Obituary for Russell "Russ" Eugene Sebring

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday January 13, and Thursday January 14, 2021 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes (4000 SW 119th St.).

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday January 15, 2021 at True Oak Fellowship (20 Worley Dr. Tuttle, OK 73089) with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens OKC.

February 13, 1950 ~ January 11, 2021

Russell Eugene Sebring, fondly known as Russ, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 70 surrounded by his wife, daughters, and son-in-laws. Russ was born on February 13th, 1950, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the second son of Oscar Richard and Betty Sue (Crockett) Sebring. Russ grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma. A highlight of his young life was at the age of 12, he became a champion Indian dancer for the Osage tribe. Russ danced at the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle Washington and on the Queen Mary with Chubby Checker. After graduating from Ponca City High School, Russ served his country in the United States Marine Corp for two years. He was honorably discharged in 1971. Russ then attained many different collegiate degrees, including a Registered Nursing Degree from Oklahoma City Community College and a Bachelors' of Science Degree from Central State University in Healthcare Administration. On June 7th, 1990, Russ married the love of his life, Sandy. They were happily married for over 30 years. Russ worked as a registered nurse for many years and truly loved helping people. He also owned several businesses, including Apollo Chimney Sweep, a hydro mulching company, an air duct cleaning company, and in 1995 he and Sandy began serving their community as real estate brokers for Re/Max Tri-City in Tuttle. It was a job that he thoroughly enjoyed because Russ loved helping others and meeting new people. In 2000, Russ received the gift of a heart transplant from his dear friend, Randy Breeding. Sandy and his family are so grateful to Michelle for her selfless gift in the midst of her own loss. With the additional 20 years he was given Russ lived a full and wonderful life. He enjoyed spending time with Sandy traveling and was able to watch all of his six grandchildren grow and be a part of their lives.

Russ was preceded in death by his:
Parents ~ Oscar Sebring and Betty Sebring-Anderson and his step-father, Joe Anderson;
Brothers ~ Max Sebring and Richard Sebring;
Daughter ~ Roxanne Crum.

Russ is survived by his:
Wife of 30 years ~ Sandy Sebring of the home;
Daughter ~ Jennifer and husband, Jimmy Bullard;
Daughter ~ Mandy and husband, Kevin Daniel;
Grandchildren ~ Camy Daniel, Wyatt Daniel and wife, Bayleigh Daniel, Keaton Daniel, Logan Bullard, Ella Daniel, and Lily Bullard;
Sister-in-law ~ Karen Sebring;
Nephews ~ Chad Sebring and Harrison Sebring;
Cousin ~ Sharon Corbin;
And extended family and many dear friends.
