Obituary for Philip Arthur Peters
Philip Arthur Peters, 71, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in a local hospital. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Serving at the 188th Air National Guard in Fort Smith for 42 years. Philip enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending time with family, grandchildren and his fur babies. He was born February 18, 1949 in Mulberry, AR to the late Millard and Sylvia (Pope) Peters. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Jack Peters.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 Friday, December 18, 2020 at Ocker Chapel with interment in U. S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Services will be livestreamed on the Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Facebook page.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Peters of the Home; son, Scott Peters and wife Sara of Alma, AR; Brothers, Millard Lee Peters, Jr. and Fred Peters and wife Teresa; Grandchildren, Hannah Peters, Evan Peters and Claire Peters and sister-in-law, Carolyn Peters.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Osburn, Ronnie Pope, Bobby Childers, Blake Rogers, David Crabtree and Bryan Peters.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening, December 17, 2020 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
