Obituary for Oneta Hicks (Swaim)
Oneta Hicks, 94 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in a local nursing home. She was a retired machine operator for T.J. Smith Box Company in Fort Smith. She was a member of the Crawford County Horseman Association, loved riding and a member of Van Buren First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Dewitt and Alma (Clem) Swaim; one brother, Bob Swaim.
Graveside service will be at 1 pm Friday December 18, 2020 at Salem Cemetery in Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hicks of the home; three daughters, Libby Morrow of Uniontown, Connie Thompson of Roland and Pamela Inge of Fort Smith; one sister, Sue Reese of Roland; six grandchildren Leora Moore, Audra Myers, Butch Burchfiel, Trudy Nichols, Lynn Schumacher and Gary Dean Morrow; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buth Burchfiel, Terry Moore, Devin Kruger, Phillip Swaim and Robert Swaim.
