Obituary for Richard Ewing Rogers
It's with tears of joy the family of Richard Ewing Rogers, 75 of Van Buren passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 in a local hospital. He was a cement finisher for K-Mac Enterprises in Fort Smith. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Hazel (Dinsmore) Rogers; two sisters, Mary Jeanette Wood and Alice Elaine Markwood.
Funeral service will be at 2 pm Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann (Turner) Rogers of the home; one step-daughter, Missy Haas of Van Buren; one stepson, Jimmy Haas of Fort Smith; one sister, Jo Ann Helbing of Fort Smith; one brother, Robert Rogers of Fort Smith; one step-grandchild, Dallas Rae Haas of Fort Smith and one great grandchild, Weston Wheeler of Fort Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richard Fimple, John Boster, David Crabtree, Randy Loyd, Jared Lincks and Bryan Huff.
Per ADH guidelines, attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
