Obituary for Alice Waters

Due to the inclement weather, the Waters family has decided to make services open to immediate family and extended family only. Please know that Alice's family would love for you to attend but they don't want you to have to endure the high winds and cold rain at the cemetery.

Alice was born on March 19, 1934 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Otto and Sally (Fletcher) Bryant. Alice was one of six children. She and her siblings were raised in Okmulgee until Alice’s family moved to Oklahoma City. When Alice was younger she enjoyed (list hobbies, activities, clubs or school subjects she excelled in) Alice graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1954. Alice met Don at a singles bible study in the fall of 1969 where they started dating in early 1970. They were married on December 9, 1970 at Trinity A.G. They were blessed with a son, Larry, and made wonderful memories together as a family. They enjoyed camping, vacations and were their number 1 fans of all the sports that their son and grandchildren played. Some years later Alice and Don became members at Faith Tabernacle and were very active members at the church for well over 30 years. Alice worked for the Oklahoma State dept. of Health for many years as a administrative assistant in the food and nutrition department. Don retired from the VA in 1990 and shortly after that time Alice took an early retirement to spend more time with her husband. The two enjoyed loving the Lord, serving at their church as greeters and ushers, and going on Senior’s trips to Arkansas and Branson spending time with their grandchildren and making the best memories together. Alice lost her one and only, Don, in 2018 and her family was there to help her along the way. She often thought about the day when she and Don would be together again and that day has come. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but her sweet spirit will never be forgotten.
