JOHN M. DURKET “POE”, age 70. US Navy Veteran Viet Nam. Loving partner of Maria Bellon for 32 years. Devoted father of Michelle, Wendy, and Amanda (Justin). Grandfather of Branden, Maranda, Ireland, and Raven. Great-grandfather of Eliott and Amara. Brother of Cathy (deceased), Susie (deceased), Michael and Jimmy. Son of Peter and Catherine (both deceased). Uncle and friend to many. John was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 293. He was also a Softball Hall of Famer for the Greater Cleveland Slo-Pitch Association. John was known for being a selfless, kind, and compassionate man. To know him was to love him. He will be greatly missed by all. Memorial services with Military Honors Saturday, October 17 at 1:00PM at the JAKUBS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 937 E 185 ST where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service.
