VALERIA CEKADA (nee Kalin), age 90. Loving wife of the late Dominic. Beloved daughter of Louis and Mary Kalin (both deceased). Dear cousin of Beatrice Jerkich, Louis and Raymond Jerkich ( deceased) and RoseMarie Weber (deceased). Aunt of Jessica (Tim) Kines and Stanley Kalin of Georgia. Cousin of Sonja “Sunny” of Canada and Myra(deceased) Jerkic and many relatives from Slovenia and Italy and loving relations of husband Dominic.. Valeria was a lifelong resident of Euclid graduating with Honor from Euclid High School. She loved Polka music and dances. She met her husband Dominic at a Polka dance and they were married in 1955. They enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino. Though known to be stubborn, she was a gracious host along with Dominic of The Holmes Avenue Seniors Club. She was always ready to volunteer wherever she was needed. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 8 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church, 15519 Holmes Ave, where the family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM. (MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED AT CHURCH). Private interment All Souls Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions to St. Mary Church would be appreciated.
