Linda Gail Jeary went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 8, 2020 in Denton, Texas at the age of 79. Linda was born on August 10, 1940 in Leonard, Texas to her parents, Clifton Clyde and Bessie Mae Smalley. She married her sweetheart, Stanley Jeary and this union of marriage was blessed with two sons, Tony and Randy. In addition to being a loving wife and devoted mother, Linda was also very active in her church and loved sharing the love and word of Jesus with others. Her favorite scripture verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” She was also an appreciator of God’s beautiful creations and enjoyed nature and animals of all kinds. She especially loved feeding and watching the birds as well as being outdoors in general and watching golf. She was also an avid dog-lover, especially her own little furry companions at home. Linda also dedicated many hours to writing handwritten notes, cards and letters to her family and friends expressing her love for them. A true Okie at heart, Linda was especially proud to be of her love for Oklahoma and she thoroughly enjoyed watching the OU Sooners play football. Especially gifted, skilled decorator and very creative, Linda enjoyed arts and crafts, antiques, looking at Pinterest and collecting trinkets of all kinds. She even served as President of the Oklahoma Antique Dealers Association in 1980 and Linda used her exceptional creative entrepreneurially by co-founding of the “Affair of the Heart” Antique, Arts & Craft Show at the fairgrounds. Linda was a very compassionate and a generous spirited woman who loved the Lord and others with all of her heart. She always showed compassion for others regardless of their circumstances and wanted to check in on them often times. She truly had a servant’s heart and was always singing the little jingle ‘Love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck’ to her granddaughters and loved to make them laugh and smile. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who left a last and positive influence on every life she encountered. She will be deeply missed.
