Obituary for Mary Catherine Daniel

Mary Catherine Daniel was born on March 10th, 1953, to her loving parents, Tommie and Irene Daniel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was the second out of six children born.

Mary was a quiet and simple person that always kept to her self. She joined Greater Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, and was devoted to the Youth Choir. Mary attended Howard High School, and graduated “Class of 1972”. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to began her new chapter in life.

Her work ethics and qualities were recognized, and she landed the job at the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel. She remained there for 32 years until she changed careers. Mary left the hotel industry for McCarran International Airport, She was employed there for seven years until her health started to fail.

In her pastime, she loved to complete puzzles, produce homemade videos, and spend time with family.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Tommie Daniel; three uncles: Walter P. (Jylene) Waller, Richard (Curley) Waller, and Willie (Ophelia) Waller; and two loving nieces: Annessa Daniel, and Jutauvian Brightwell.

On Monday, April 20th, 2020, Mary transitioned this life at the age of 67 with peace and grace to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish fond memories to her loving mother, Mrs. Irene Daniel of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers: Jessie J. (Denise) Waller, and Terry Daniel both of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sisters: Bettie (John) Elder, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Cora Daniel, and Ethel Williams both of Las Vegas, Nevada; a loving god child, Byron McCraney of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mary Catherine Daniel, you will forever be in our hearts and be remembered for the love that you had for all your friends and family.
