Obituary for William A. Messier Jr.

William (BJ) A. Messier, Jr., age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. BJ was born December 29, 1942 in Springfield, MA. to William and Marjorie (Yahnig) Messier. He was a 1964 graduate of Springfield College with a B.S. in Business. He held a variety of sales positions. One of his key accomplishments was with United Aircraft Corporation where he designed and patented a special attachment for fabrication operations. Patent is now held by United Aircraft Corporation. BJ truly lived life to the fullness through simple pleasures; working on his corvette, winning awards at car shows, spending time with family and friends, which BJ had many of. BJ had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, MaryAnn (Rumzis), a sister, Marjorie (Warren) Barr, and his children; Bridgett (daughter) and Daniel Kelly, Colleen (daughter) and Jim Koch, Kathleen (daughter) and John Revolta, Lisa Prodzenski (daughter/deceased), and William Messier III (son). He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Due to the current pandemic, a memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
