Obituary for Imogene T Burnett (Thornburgh)
Imogene T. Burnett, 91 of Alma, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, March 28, 2020 in a local hospital. She was a retired English Teacher and Counselor for the Battiest, Oklahoma Public School System. She was preceded by her husband of seventy-three years, James D. Burnett, one son James A. (Jim) Burnett and one great-granddaughter Elizabeth Burnett.
She is survived by one son Robert Burnett and wife Jan of Van Buren, Arkansas, one daughter-in-law Daphane Burnett of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three granddaughters Micki Jernigan and family of Greenville, North Carolina, Stephanie Pinkerton and family of Farmington, Arkansas and Rebecca Caufield and family of Van Buren, Arkansas, and three grandsons Bill Burnett and family of Rogers, Arkansas, Scott Burnett and family of Norman, Oklahoma and Sam Wagoner of Fort Smith, Arkansas and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
