Obituary for William Michael Hawkins
William Michael (“Mike”) Hawkins, 62, of Oklahoma City passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Mike was born in Oklahoma City on October 6, 1957 to Bill and Dorothy Hawkins. A 1976 graduate of John Marshall high school, Mike attended Central State University (now The University of Central Oklahoma), and trained and worked in the heating and air business as well as in horticulture. He married Laurie Dykstra in 1981. They divorced in 2009. Mike was an avid music lover and amassed an impressive collection of tickets to the many concerts he attended.
Mike was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his son Casey and his wife Amanda Hawkins and grandson Colin, his daughter Kristin and her husband Dr. James Le, daughter Kyndal and her husband Cogan Higgins, all of Oklahoma City, his mother of the home, and his sister Sherry, her husband Dennis Yelton of Lawton.
