Obituary for Billy Davis Smith Jr.
Billy Davis Smith, Jr. 64 of Barling passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in a local hospital. He retired from Sutherlands Home Improvements as a manager in Fort Smith and also volunteered with the Boy Scouts Troop #2316 in Fort Smith. He loved gardening and being with his family. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill Smith, Sr. and Velma (Pulliam) Smith.
A family held memorial service will be 1PM Monday, January 27, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in Van Buren officiated by Dr. Paul Fulks.
He is survived by his wife Karen of the home; two daughters Jennifer Smith of Irmo, South Carolina and Jamie Williams of Alma; two sons Andrew and Evan Smith both of the home; one sister Linda Smith and one brother Ronny Smith both of Coolidge, Texas; five grandchildren Abbigal, Maddison and Jayden Clem, Isaac and Zoe Williams; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2-4PM at Farmers Bank Barling Community Center, 227 Fort Street Barling, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to B.S.A. Troop 2316 at 116 North 12th Street, Fort Smith Arkansas 72901.
