February 11, 1953 – December 11, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce Derek passed away at the very young age of 66. A loving father, he will be deeply missed by his children Danielle (Jamie), Zach (Elena) and Joshua. He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, extended family and many friends.
An incredibly hard worker, Derek will be remembered for his love of the sea and his passion for racing – sailboats, Formula 1 and all competitive sports.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue on Sunday December 15th from 2 to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
