Obituary for Delores Reed (Nobles )

Delores Nobles Reed, 89, of Natural Dam left her life on earth to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was at her home, surrounded by family. Delores married the love of her life, James (Jimmy, as she fondly called him) June 24, 1949, and they spent 65 + years living out their life’s dreams together. It was said that “you didn’t see one without the other” ….and that was true; they shared a deep and abiding love. She was a devoted homemaker, loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother who dearly loved her family and dedicated her life to raising her girls and being a faithful wife to her husband Jim. She also shared Jim’s love for Natural Dam, where he was born, and she grew up as a teenager. Together, they moved their young family from Tulsa, to their beloved farm in Natural Dam, where they lived out their remaining days together. Delores faithfully attended Grandview Assembly of God, where she and Jim were charter members. She loved to sing, had a beautiful voice and enjoyed participating in the church choir, working in the church, helping in yearly Bible Schools and various other activities in her younger years. It was never an option not to go to church and try to do what was right. She led her family by example. She loved the Lord and knew that God is good to the end of her days!

She was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Reed; her parents, Ray and Bessie (Crabtree) Nobles; a sister, Gertrude Johnson and half-sister Pansy Bradshaw.

Funeral service will be 2PM, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Grandview Assembly of God in Natural Dam, with burial to follow at Hall Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
