Elmer Hill Phillips, 87 of Alma passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 in his home. He retired as a field rep for AFCO Steel in 2001. He was a longtime resident of Van Buren and Kibler. He attended Alma First Freewill Baptist Church. The family appreciated the kind service provided by Hearts of Hospice Organization. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Mooney; a grandson, Caleb Fisher.

Funeral service will be at 1PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Phillips of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tracy Phillips of Van Buren; one son, Ronald Phillips of Guthrie, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles Phillips of Edmond, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, November 15, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Harrison Efurd, Chris Robertson, Rick Juelfs and James Meadors.
