As a result of a tragic hit and run on September 20, 2019 Larry peacefully, surrounded by his family and the love of his life, Yvonne Moelker, passed away on October 23, 2019 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Loving son of the late Ernest & Louise Hamel. Dear brother of Paul (Bonnie), Louis (Karen) and Lorraine McGrattan (Terry). He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Larry was a talented piano player and artist who had a great sense of humour and creativity and always encouraged this in others. He lived quite simply with the joy of providing ongoing support and love to those he cared about. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life was held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
