Obituary for Clarence "Mickey" Ganey

Mr. "Mickey" Ganey, age 67, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital on Friday, October 11, 2019.

Mickey Ganey was born October 18, 1951 to Clifton “Putt” & Lily Ganey. Their constant love, support, and caring far exceeded anything Mickey deserved. He is preceded in death by his parents Clifton “Putt” Ganey, Lily Loraine Ganey, Raymond Harold Ganey, and his youngest daughter Misty Dawn Ganey.

He is survived by his nagging wife of 43 years Penny Cupp Ganey and his most favorite possessions, his only sassy blonde daughter Amy Hennings, smart-ass son Shane Ganey, his vertically challenged daughter-in-law Abbey Ganey, possibly the chocolate milk mans daughter Nikki Ganey and his granddaughter raised something like a daughter Ja’Nee Ganey.

He also has 7 rugrats also known as his grand kids, Landon, Trystan, Sadie, Braxton, Gabe, Olivia and last but not least Bowen. Oh, we can’t forget his one and only great grandchild Evelyn. Mickey is also survived by his oldest but defies the age of time sibling Judy Cangelosi and his card playing, coffee drinking sister-in-law Julie Thomas Ganey.

We could go on and on about his great accomplishments but we would prefer not to bore you. So instead we’ll tell you about how sarcastic and ass like he could be. You were always guaranteed a great laugh and prank with him. He always made you feel like he “really” wanted to see you. His all-time favorite past time was scaring you till you peed your pants.

He served thousands of years in the military, well it felt like it to him, where he learned to survive on Vienna sausages and was awarded all these fancy awards for his service. Along with his other accomplishments and awards, he’s a published writer. You can find his featured poem in the Angola Prison Times. By the way he never served in the pin. In retirement he pestered his wife till his death, literally. The End…

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 a day after his birthday with Dr. Steve Speer officating. If you were planning on getting him a gift you can make the checks out to his children and they’ll buy something for themselves instead. We’re sure he wouldn’t have minded.

Visitation beginning on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 9:00 am with service beginning at 11:00 am at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
