Debbie Burns Helms, 66, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2019 in Greenwood. She was born on December 7, 1952 in Fort Smith to Francis B. and Sue (Curnett) Burns. She was a graduate of St. Anne’s Academy and a member of Sts. Sabina and Mary Catholic Church. Debbie worked for many years as a floral designer in her families business Burn’s Flowers. She loved the outdoors enjoying four wheeling, fishing and shooting but most of all loved her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dr. Carolyn Harper.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Helms of the home; a son, Chris Helms of Greenwood, three grandchildren, Mackinze, Mason and Mattix Helms and her brother Jim Burns and his wife Linda of Fort Smith, AR.
Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home.
