Graveside Services to honor his life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2019 at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes, 4000 SW 119th Street, OKC, OK 73173.
Daryl Deane Petersen departed this earthly life for his Heavenly reward on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the age of 70. He was born on November 9, 1948 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to his parents, Roberta (Roberts) and Harry Petersen. After graduating from high school, Daryl joined the United States Air Force and honorably served his country. After his honorable discharge from the US Air Force, Daryl began working as a sheet metal mechanic at Gulfstream, transitioning to Tinker Air Force Base where he worked until his retirement. Daryl married his one true love, Gayle Patterson and this union of marriage was blessed with two sons, Erich and Bradley. A wonderful husband and devoted father, Daryl enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and Softball in Del City for many years and teaching his sons how to work on cars. He loved restoring old automobiles in his spare time and was a longtime member of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He enjoyed Friday night racing at the OKC Fairgrounds. Daryl was a hardworking and honest family man who loved his family with all of his heart and will be deeply missed.
