Obituary for Lake Kellogg Jr.
Rev. Lake Kellogg, Jr., was born , May 10, 1927, in Hughes, Arkansas, made his way home to the Lord on, July 2, 2019.
Lake, like many, saw humble beginnings in the south, where he started out working the railroads, at the age of 15. He later met his wife to be, Ida Mae, and married April 4,1950. The couple relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where he then devoted 35 working years to Pepsi Cola. Over time, he answered his call to the Lord and was ordained in the early 1970's. He did the work of God across several churches in the area. His most recent place of worship was Union Grove Baptist Church.
Lake was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ida Mae Kellogg, sons, Dale Beckett and Willie Stark, sister, Elnora Greer (Davis), charlene Porter and Valerie McGee.
He is survived by a sister, Ollie Mae, of Memphis, TN; goddaughter, Dorothy "Dot" (Curtis) Jones, Toledo, OH; nieces, Reosa (Oliver) Harris, Toledo, OH; Diane Gundoydu, New York; great nephew, Oliver "Lil" Terrill Harris, III, Toledo, OH; great niece, Ashley Nicole Harris, Toledo, OH, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July9, 2019, at 11:00 AM, preceded by a 10:00 AM Wake, at Union Grove Baptist Church,
