Obituary for David 'Michael' Childerhose

Childerhose, David Michael ”Mike” 1944-2019
Mike passed away peacefully at his home in Frankford, with his dog Jet by his side, on June 11, 2019
in his 75th year. Predeceased by his second wife Sharron and his parents Lloyd Eric Childerhose and
Jeanette Caroline Herbert. Survived by his Daughter Winhara (Brant Burrow), Son Gary Childerhose
(Nicole Dominix) and their Mother Margaret Childerhose. Missed by his Step-children Jennifer de
Wolde, Derek de Wolde (Lynn) and grand daughter Katherine Katanik. An only child, Mike is fondly
remembered by his Sisters and Brothers in Laws, nieces, nephews and his beloved American Cousins.
An employee of Bell Canada for 30 years, Mike also worked in Saudi Arabia for 6 months with Bell.
He enjoyed many hands of bridge and dinner parties with dear friends in “the Bay”. A lover of travel
Mike got to see parts of Europe and the Middle East, and he especially enjoyed numerous cruises. In
later years he assisted in restoration work on aircraft at the National Air Force Museum in Trenton. On
a clear evening he could be found admiring the stars and even had one named for him, perhaps it is
shining a little brighter now. There will be a private graveside service for the family at a later date. As expressions of sympathy,
donations to Holy Trinity Anglican Church Memorial Fund, or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
