Obituary for Lincoln Moreice Harris

Lincoln M. Harris was born June 1, 1936 to Frank Joseph and Elizabeth (Gates) Harris in Yazoo City, Mississippi. He attended Yazoo High School #2 and Tugaloo College in Tugaloo, Mississippi. He joined the United States Army in 1958 serving his country until he was honorably discharged in 1963. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. He moved to Toledo, Ohio and later married Mary L. Caldwell July 7, 1984. He joined People’s Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health failed. Lincoln was employed over 30 years at Libbey Owens Ford (LOF)

Lincoln was known for his love of all sports. He enjoyed cooking and baking for the family.

Lincoln is survived by his loving wife, Mary L. Harris; daughter, Hilda Harris; step daughters, Jacqueline Russell, Gwen (Alfred) Mitchell; grandson, Lincoln Harris, step grandchildren, JaVon, Brie and Taj all of Toledo, Ohio; Sister, Catherine (Harden) Love; brother, Artie (Yvonne) Harris, Sr. all of Chicago, Illinois; a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Quintella Harris; brother, Frank A. Harris.
