Leonard Gerald Watkins, 83, of Mulberry, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at a local hospital. He was a former mechanic for Randall Ford, U.S. Army veteran and of the Church of Christ faith. He was born July 18, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to the late John Thomas and Ida (Malone) Watkins. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Moeller; 4 brothers, Russell, Orval, Charlie and Rex Watkins; 3 step sisters, Shirley Templeton, Dollie Barker and Darlene David and 1 step brother, Oscar Price.
Services will be graveside 2:00 P.M. Friday, February, 22, 2019 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha (Trigg) Watkins of the home; 1 daughter, Linda Siller (Erasto) of North Richland Hills, TX; 2 sons, Dale and Gerald “Wayne” Watkins both of Mulberry, AR; 2 sisters, Syble Skiles of Vidor, TX and Bertie Nunn of Skelley Town, TX; 3 brothers, Raymond Watkins of Lubbock, TX, John Watkins of Phoenix, AZ and Dale Watkins of Mulberry, AR and 2 granddaughters, Amber Sanchez (Victor) and Alyssa Siller.
The family will visit withrelatives and friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Ocker Chapel of Alma 917 Hwy. 64 E., Alma, AR.
