Judith (Johnsen) Donovan, 73, of Broad Brook, CT loving wife of 51 years to Russell Donovan entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, January 18, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born July 11, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Edmund and Edna (Migge) Johnsen. She attended Sachem High School in New York. Judy was employed for several years as a Teacher’s Aide in the Vernon School system and at J.C. Penny Warehouse in Manchester. She enjoyed portrait painting, arts and crafts, boating, going to the beach and sports. In addition to her husband, Russell she is also survived by two children, Kristie Maher and her husband, Mike of Tolland and Glen Donovan and his wife, Jessica of San Diego; her five grandchildren, Brian and Jonathan Maher of Tolland, Cassady, Beckett, and Neve Donovan all of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Gail Holland and her husband, Tony of England, and Susan Biglin of Manchester, CT; her mother-in-law, Pearl Roy of Vernon, brothers-in-law, Dennis Donovan and his wife, Candace of Waikoloa, HI, Jim Roy of Newington, William Roy and his wife, Rosemarie of North Granby; sisters-in-law, Pat Pontarelli of Myrtle Beach, SC, Beverly Guarino and her husband, Paul of Broad Brook, CT and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 3 pm to 6 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
