Obituary for Marquetta Ray Brooks

Marquetta had various talents. She was an entertainer/dancer in her younger years. Nobody could touch her. She loved everyone. She was kind, caring, loving, giving, and most of all, loyal. If you were her friend, she was yours, til the bitter end. In her later years, she enjoyed cooking, bingo, gambling, and she loved celebrations.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her sister, Livvie King; brothers, John Peters and Reuben Peters; brother-in-law, Roy Sebree; nieces, Pamela Coleman, Linda Nelson and Claudia Sebree-Pressly; nephews, Eddie King (Christine), Carlos King (Jacqueline Nicole) and Carl Jay (Liz); aunt, Laverne Baity; cousins, Claudette Nichols, Takeyla Nichols, Titus Nichols (Stephanie), Temperance Nichols, Barbara Fair-Coleman (Derek), Roxanne Mott, Shamar Mott, and Jarett Mott; Godchildren, Devona Townsend, Tynika Jones and Mark Scott; eight grandbabies, nine great grandbabies and a host of many nieces and nephews.

Marquetta is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Brooks; father, Reuben Peters; sister, Minnie Sebree; brother, Charles Peters; nephews, Darnell Townsend and Delano Fleming III, and a host of family and friends.

GONE, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!
