Obituary for Catherine Wilson (Clinkscale)

A woman named Catherine Wilson, affectionately known as "Cat", departed this life on December 28, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.

Catherine was born to Boss Clinkscale and Ludie Johnson-Clinkscale on May 13, 1935 in Hazard, Kentucky. Catherine graduated from Liberty High School on May 27, 1954 in Hazard Kentucky which was also the year she met and married James D. Price Jr., which she has seven blessed children by.

Catherine accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Hazard, Kentucky. For many years she loved singing and playing gospel music. Catherine started the "Family Group Gospel Fire" where they sang praises in many churches throughout the city of Toledo and Michigan. Catherine also loved putting on Christmas and Easter programs where the kids would say speeches.

Catherine was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church until her health failed. She loved to talk and was a very kind and gentle person. She was always ready to give advice. So many kids called her mom.

Catherine was an excellent cook and loved to sew and make clothes. She was very fashionable and loved to make floral arrangements. She loved collecting fine glassware and shopping.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents Boss and Ludie Clinkscale, two brothers Nathaniel and Jesse Clinkscale, three sisters Mabel Staples, Pearlena Holston, and Mabel Bruce.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memories children James (Yolanda) Terry, Katheryn, Jacqueline, Todd, Tyler (Stacey), Timothy (Andrea) Price. 28 Grandchildren, 57 Great-Grandchildren, sisters Lula Richardson, Leola Holston, Lucretia Davis, Mary Wilson. Host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
