Obituary for Sandy Roy Wells

Pastor Sandy Roy Wells, age 56, was born November 9, 1962 in Ethelsville, Alabama to Frances and Milton Guyton. He was in the presence of Angels who took him home to live eternally with the Lord, Our Savior, Jesus Christ on December 23, 2018.

Pastor Sandy Roy Wells accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Jesup W. Scott High School, where he played JV Basketball as a Freshman and Varsity as a Sophomore. He worked various jobs and AVI Food System until his illness. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan for 50 years, watching football with his big cousin. He was a member of Greater St. John COGIC under the Shepard Pastor Johnny Hobbs until God told him to start his own church and God gave him the name The New Faith Baptist Church, which he started in his living room. He fed the homeless and brought many lost souls to the Lord.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Jackques Wells; both sets of grandparents; one nephew, Brian Parnell; one niece, Lakesha Wells-Jackson; and a special aunt, Lona T. Wiley

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Fabien Wells and Damon Randall; one grandson, Domonique Jackson; both parents; five sisters, Dorothy Guyton of Milport, AL, Charlotte Maddox, Vanessa (Tracy) Reditt, Melissa Guyton and Kathy Guyton; one brother, Kenneth Guyton, all from Toledo, OH; eight nieces, four nephews, six nieces, seven great nephews, three special friends, Rodney Mahoney, James Reditt and Carolyne White; two special cousins, Mattie Williams and Duvall Edwards "The Boss"; and a host of first, second and third cousins.
