Obituary for Charles Edward Jett
Charles Edward Jett, 89, of Barling passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 in a local hospital. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and also Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Barling. He was preceded in death by both his parents Myrl and Jewell (Lincks) Jett; and one son Gary Jett.
Funeral services will be 10AM, Monday December 24, 2018 at Barling First Baptist Church with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife Norma of the home; one daughter Brenda Griswold and husband Dave of Lake Havasu, Arizona; two sons Merle Jett and fiance Nina Johnson of Malvern and Lance Jett of Fort Smith; one brother Danny Hicks of Flagstaff, Arizona; four sisters; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 2-4 PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren,Arkansas.
