Obituary for Julio "Joe" Beauchesne

Julio “Joe” G. Beauchesne, 82, of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born on December 31, 1935 in Rumford, Maine to Gerald and Julia (Legere) Beauchesne. He was a quality control inspector for Abex Aerospace. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith where he volunteered in the media ministry as well as the tape room of the church. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, while serving in the Marine Corps he had the honor of guarding the Florida White House in Key West, Florida while President Dwight D. Eisenhower was recuperating from his heart attack. Joe was a member of the American Legion, Post 339 in Roland, Oklahoma and was preceded in death by his two sisters, Juanita Beauchesne and Pauline Johnston.
Funeral service is 10:00AM, Friday, December 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Fort Smith with burial with military honors in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Martha Jane of the home; two sons, Tom Johnston of Salt Lake City, UT and Edward Johnston of TN; two sisters, Helen Mastrototaro of St. Petersburg, FL and Theresa Salamone of Winter Springs, FL.
The family will visit with friends from 4-6PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
