Obituary for John Francis Pierce
John F. Pierce, Sr., 86, of Winchester, died December 8, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Pierce was born August 22, 1932 in Clarke County, VA; the son of the late Dandy and Lily Tomblin Pierce. He was a member Eagles Aerie 824 and VFW 2123.
He married Hilda Clark on July 26, 1986 in Winchester.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Sharon LeMaster, Richard Cole and Randy Cole; two brothers, James Pierce and Andrew Pierce; two sisters, Dorothy Christian and Shirley Pierce; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, John F. Pierce, Jr. and Roy Albert “Tom Petie” Cole.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ken H. Smith officiating.
