Obituary for Ruth Donald Gardner
Ruth Donald Gardner, 98, of Winchester, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at a local nursing home.
She was born on January 5, 1920; the daughter of Hiram L. and Allie Myra McDaniel Colvin.
Ruth is survived by her son, Linwood L. Donald (Gleema) of Frederick County, VA; her daughter, Dorothy Donald Clark of Winchester; her niece, Allie “Susie” Orndorff and grandson, Philip Donald.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters. Her first husband, Claude Linwood Donald; second husband, Randall Athen Gardner and grandson, Wesley Donald also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Patrick officiating. Burial will be private in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
