Obituary for Kenneth Alan Ray
Kenneth Alan “Kenny” Ray Sr., 72, of Wardensville, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
Mr. Ray was born May 13, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pa, the son of Herbert Samuel Ray Sr. and Edna May Ray. He served in the United States Army in the early 1960’s. Kenny married Georgia Perry-Ray in Wardensville, WV on October 31, 1998. He was a self-employed HVAC mechanic until his retirement. He loved his horses, dogs, cats and most of all his love of life and fun which he passed on to everyone he knew.
He is survived by four children, Rebecca R. Flesher (Rodney, Sr.) of Richmond, VA, Gary Ray and Sandra Ray VanKirk (John) both of Philadelphia, PA and Paul Perry of Elizabethton, TN; his brother Herbert S. Ray Jr. of Tobyhanna, PA; a daughter-in-law, Susan Primo; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth A. Ray Jr.; his sister Jean Drauss, and a grandson, Rodney Flesher, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Woodbound Farm, 4818 Woodbound Rd., Keswick, VA. Please RSVP to Georgia Ray.
